Rechroming can be expensive. Replacement are around $125-$200 in some places but you can get yours done for about the same price and maybe a whole lot better job too using a local shop.

It's expensive but a lot of the repop stuff is poor quality plus when you re-chrome you still have the original parts on the vehicle. I've done both bumpers, all four guards and the grill so far. In the next month I'll be sending my center hood strip, the hood bird, the vent window frames and both wiper towers out for chroming. All my handles are good so that should finish up the chroming on my 38.

It was just a cheapo crash parts bumper, but it fit well and still looks good. Go to your local cheap crash parts dealer, make sure they have a refund/exchange policy, and try one. You won't have to pay freight (about $40 probably), and you can inspect it before you take it home.
