New rubber is looking right at 265 each. My question is for those of you with big bolts are you running highway tread and is it ok in snow or should I hold out for traction tires?
I suspect any tires i get will wear out from the elements and weather before the tread is used up. Has this been the case with you? Do you see the need to buy new when used are available?

I have some nearly new fronts, and about 30% left on the rears, as soon as I find some traction tires I'll switch the rears out. Or if I wear out the rears first I'll probably buy new ones.
Your used tire prices sound reasonable if they are close by, and the fronts should be realy nice looking for that price.
If I personally needed rear tires badly I would take a look at the 50% G159's, they are supposed to be nice tires, and about as rough as you will find in 9R22.5
Also, if these tires are for your 57, do you have tubeless rims for it? I'll assume you already know, but for others who may be confused, 22.5" tires only go on 22.5" rims, and same goes for any and all the other tire sizes.

The fronts are new with sticker still on them take-offs. I wish he had 6 of those so I could be done with it.
Your comment on the g159's "rought as you will find" are you saying they are tough or the tread pattern is as close to traction as you will find without going to traction tires?

It's been a little while sense I priced new 9R22.5 tires. You may have a few other traction tire choices, but not many, and I remember thinking the G159 was the best choice.

I never let them get over 4 years old because that is when they start blowing out. And when they blow out, they usually do damage to the vehicle. We routinely check the date codes. Age is much more important than tread on a radial. Give these guys a call.
