Well, it's time to redo the bed in my 59 Fleetside before it gets much colder.
A few questions before I make the plunge.

Who makes the best kit? I saw that Classic Parts has a kit that comes with everything. Wood, strips, hardware, etc. I would imagine that they are all pretty much the same. Just stumbled upon Mar-K which would be great as I could pick up everything.

Could I finish everything in a weekend? Taking the old bed out and putting the new one in.

Whether or not you can finish in a weekend depends on your skill level and how much time you have to work on it in a weekend. You also have to allow time to finish your boards and let them dry adequately. Here are some instructions that may help:

Not sure what kind of wood bed you want to put in, but we have some great new "no bolts" bed strips in polished stainless, unpolished stainless and steel for a great custom look.

Not clear on your free UPS offer. Is that only if your order is over $1000?? I've been thinking about ordering my pine bed wood and hardware this fall.

There are two separate offers. There is Free UPS shipping which has an $8.95 handling fee. This covers nearly all of our parts (except bed sides). So you can order wood/strips/hardware, pay $8.95 handling fee and get Free UPS anywhere in the continental US.
The other offer is Free Truck Freight. If you order bed sides and spend $1000 in parts, then pay the $15.00 handling charge and the truck freight is free.
