I searched the archives but was looking for recent info on the reproduction rear steel fenders out there for my 59 stepside. The vendors all have the overseas made stuff and I am told no USA made are available. Anybody have info on the quality or vendor?

My guess is they are all from the same overseas manufacturing company? There is a significant prices difference between some of the offerings with shipping, so I am wondering if they are all the same? Quality comments? I guess the metal is probably thinner but dont know. Are they all from the same outfit? Fitting issues? Anyone get fenders recently? Wish Mar-K was making em......Thanks

Thanks rasman57. MAR-K makes our parts in Oklahoma City, USA. We do not make fenders at this time, but I will put you on our request list. If we decide to make them or find a good supplier, we'll let you know!

Mar-Ktech,
Thanks...does that mean there is no current good supplier?

Rear fenders for a 59 can be found in good used. I think they were the same from 1955 to something like 1967 and they don't really have pockets where dirt settles and causes rust out. There were a lot of fenders built in those years and there are still some out there with relatively few dents.

cuz 67 was a 1 of a kind fender,Rear and Front.
DOT mandates told the Big 3 that starting in 68 all cars and trucks had to be furnished with side marker lites front and rear!
Thats how ya can tell the diff between a 67 and a 68 at a quick glance.
I guess its easier to make the 68-72 fenders with the marker lite hole, for a broader application range than a 1 yr. only app.
Take a 68 and use a piece of the old and WELD up the hole!
