The correct sequence for a '58 is as follows, LR-RR-LF-RF. I would advise gravity bleeding first over trying to pump it through.Do put the hose on and route into a jar, but just maintain the level as it goes down, don't pump. do that for all 4 wheels. The you can do the traditional bleeding, however, again, don't "pump" the pedal. The manual actually states to depress the pedal 1 full stoke, then let it return slowly. I used this method on mine, works great. In my work (I'm a professional mechanic), I find that sometimes, you can cavitate the fluid if the pedal is pumped. I have had trouble with guys who get agressive with the pedal. Do as the manual says, slow and easy.
