The only reason you would want to change the front end would be for disc brakes which can be bought in the aftermarket for the original front end. Dual master cylinder if you keep the drums. Or power drums (a booster from a 67-70 chev). You might want to swap out the rearend for one with a lower gear ratio depending on what you have now. My 64 Chev has 4.10 gears in the back which limits my speed on the highway...might be good for your son  . Does it have a l6 or a v8? Good luck. AC | | |

Just a few wires running the whole thing, pretty rough work on wiring. It has a 4 spd. but was orig. an auto. The trans and engine swap looks really good, thinking about going back to an auto.

Disc Brakes should stop your son....well at least better then drums. Bolt on IFS from 63-87 try that one for a rough idea of an easy (compared to the rest) disc swap. Good luck! | | |
