I'm doing a lot of things on the truck, so I got a lot of questions all ove rthe forum. sorry!
but: I got a few NOS parts and I don't know if they're 6V or 12V. it's headlights, some relays, switches. any way to tell whether they're designed to run on 6V or 12V without frying them?

Switches don't care what voltage they're used with. The headlights should be marked for voltage, but if they're not, try putting 6 volts to one of them. If it's normal brightness, it's a 6V, if it's very dim, try it on 12 volts. A relay can be checked with an ohmmeter, but you'd need a known good relay to compare with. Generally, a 12V relay will have about twice the coil resistance of a 6V relay.

thanks Jerry! I gues I actually could've figured all that out by myself, but I've been suffering "lack of use-your-brain!" lately.
