I'm an newbie at this but whats the chaces a engine will work that hasn't been started in 10 years.
and how to fix it.

First start by changing all the fluids (antifreeze, oil, drain gas). Put a little oil in each spark plug hole. Turn engine over by hand. New fuel filter(s) and probably lines. Someone else will chime in but thats a start.
