My paint and body guy says there are two adjustable pieces on the back of the hood near the firewall. I can't find these. I have the grommets that go along the "sides" and I know there's a piece of rubber that lays in on top that comes in contact with the bottom back. Any advice would be appreciated. the pegs at the back [top of cowl near the end of the rubber strip there] push up the hood when it's closed to level it with the cowl - they're usually siezed and easy to break off, but being missing shouldn't cause a real problem
if the problem is that the back of the hood wants to stick up when the hoods closed, you have worn hinges, otherwise the hood fit is in the fit of the fenders, which can be shimmed up/down and out from the cowl
