| | | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 55 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 55 | On my 3100 I interpret the 12v+ path to travel from the dash light switch to and thru the hi-beam switch and then on to the sealed beams. MY question concerns the function of the hi-beam switch. When activated, does the hi-beam switch re-route the 12v+ to the (high) element and switch off the low element or add an additional voltage to the high element and allow both elements to burn?
Next question, when viewing a sealed beam from the rear, 3 contacts are visible,when held in a manner that has 2 vertical contacts at the 9 and 3 o'clock position and a Horizontal contact at the 12 o'clock position, Is the horizontal contact the negative contact?
