How's your under-hood temps? Are you melting wires?

I'm waiting for one more part to come in from the CNC shop, then I can finish assembling the "built" turbo motor.

I have a bit of EFI testing to do on the stock motor that in the truck to test out some beta s/w. This will hopefully eliminate the need for the extra crank trigger wheel (36-1 tooth) and will allow me to run COP ignition abiet still in wasted spark mode until the MS sequencer is out.
Once proven then I'll be able to take the built engine to the engine dyno and won't have to pull the stock engine out to get the timing wheel off.

I'll post once all this is completed.

I would have thought you would have welded your own manifold using heavy walled stainless steel tubing.

Quick update the built 4200 motor has been on the engine dyno without the turbo and NO2.. results will be released this weekend. Keep an eye on my thread on inliners... The # is quite good..

Teaser from the first pull to the last pull we found 95 HP by tuning.

I love the "the spare batteries for the video camera showed up"

I take it your at 100% on the injectors, is the next step higher pressure or different injectors?

What were the numbers?

Not often I stop in .. time of a quick update..

After suffering and recovering from some bad engine machine work the truck got back on the road late in the season.. Now running a bed mounted rad and remote electric water pump. Finally no more cooling issues.

A trip to the chassis dyno revealed 80 LBS/FT improvement at the rear wheels - same boost level (10) psi. Moving the intake cam CL made a HUGE difference. So much so I'm out of transmission capacity... now prepping to move up to a built 4L80E.

Also changing over to sequential fuel/spark control.

Anyone have a nodular 9" carrier around?

Next year I plan on driving the truck more than working on it, may try and make the car craft nat's. Bonneville is in the cards also.

The rear sump oil pan is out making swaps easier. Also am considering doing a cast aluminum bellhousing to allow a normal GM 4 speed to bolt up and /or a T-5 which seems to be popular.

Comments/feedback welcomed.

EFI

PS: didn't get full power numbers this year but a 4500 rpm it made 510 RWHP and 504 RW tq. The drivetrain had some issues ........
