Is it the switch, the headlamps, or both?
The truck was completely re-wired a couple of years ago, so I don't suspect the wires to be a problem, I don't guess.

They are in a horrible invironment. It,s possible both bulbs are burned out or the connectors are corroded but it is more likely the dimmer switch.

It is easy to check with a test light for power through the dimmer and at the lamps.

Replacement harness had a 3 pin plug connector from the dimmer switch. Power/high/low. Traced the problem to this. Pulled it apart and found the pins inside the connectors were not making contact for the high beams. Pushed pins in farther on both halves of connector to be the same as the other two. Plugged it back together and now they work fine. Might not hurt to look.
