The original wiring, which is still in great shape on my truck and hasn't been hacked up is a brownish orange. Has anyone found a supplier that carries this color wire? I know, someone is going to pop in here and say that the yellow wire has faded and that's why it appears orange but it's that way under the wrapping and under the dash also. "The 1953 Chevy wiring harness is $ 500.00 plus shipping. The cost to add turn signals is $ 160.00. The truck harness includes headlight bucket harnesses, parking light wires, gen/ volt reg wires, all dash wiring, fuel tank wire, wires to the single brake/ tail light, etc.. The harness is built using original style cloth-covered wire of the correct colors and gauges. All of the wires are numbered and there is an installation booklet included. The turn signal add-on includes the lever assembly for the steering column, flasher, in-line fuse, wiring for the second brake/ taillight, etc." I am pleased with the product, and Joe Hall the owner was very helpful. Yes, pricey, but excellent service, and they clearly care about it being accurate. I had replaced the horn button wire in the steering column, and they had me dig out a piece of the original so they could match the color pattern on the new. I sent in everything I could, including the taillight housing and the parking light fixtures, so they could attach everything properly.
Now to install it . . .
