For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 22 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 22 | My 42 Chevy 1 1/2 ton has horns that i haven't seen in any pics or at the recent Frog Follies in Evansville, Indiana with all the old hot rod trucks there. They are kinda like bugles with longer than usual tubes that seem to be imitating or patterned after a bugle. They look to be original to the truck as they fit holes in the firewall exactly. They could be what were called "Town & Country" horns (accessory horns pre 39). They were a dealer installed option I believe. With the exception of the color do they look like this? The horns shown in the pic are the wrong color. They are supposed to be gloss black.
