The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area The Tool Chest RIDGID battery power tools ?

I'm sure everyone here is familiar with RIDGID plumbing tools as they've been around since 1923 according to their web site. Does anyone have any information or knowledge about their battery powered tools. I just started to look at what is available and saw this set.

My poor old 12 V DeWalt is more than 15 years old, might be 20, and has served me well. The last two batteries I have were found at close-out sales and they're not holding a charge very well anymore.
The RIDGID 4 piece set actually has 4 tools and no light. It has lithium batteries.
I have been wanting to get a battery circular saw, because of lighter weight and no cord for that quickie cut.
I think I would like the recip saw better than the 110 I now use.
I'm just not sure if I'll use the impact driver. I have a couple of air ratchets and I never use them.

No experience with the Rigid power tools. I sorta shy aw3ay from them,guess its because Home Depot pushes them.My latest battery drill driver is a DeWalt,which has served me very well.The batteries hold a charge for a long time. I can leave the drill laying in the shop for a month in cold weather,then pick it up and its ready to go. I am sure someone will reply that has experience with the Rigid stuff.
