| | | | Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 23 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 23 | I have rebuilt my 49 Chev pickup steering wheel and have installed a new horn button and plate in the steering wheel. When I mounted the wheel to the shaft the horn button comes up short of touching the contact brass on the new bearing installed. Does anyone have a cross section of all the parts on the steering column, and or some photos of the parts, this is all that was on the steering column when I started with the rebuild, may be missing a contact or spring ...don't know thanks

I don't remember it looking quite this way so I don't know if this is what you have. You can page either way to look at different styles.
