Be aware that your 1-ton frame is much heavier than a 1/2-ton frame and rear gears that might work fine in a lighter truck may be a real problem in this truck.
I bought a '50 1-ton cheap a while back because the 216 would not pull the truck with 3.42 gears in the rear.
The front spring width is different between the 1/2- and 1-tons, so you'll need to do some adapting.

Maybe an email may pinpoint the exact time, or motivate him to get the product out. I believe there is a market for the 8 lug disc kit, as virtually all 3/4 and 1 ton stovebolts could benefit from it. | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 . | | . I had disc brakes under my 1 ton, front and rear. Also had 4.65 gears, and I feel 4.10 is s fast as my rebuilt 235 would like, and possibly 3.73 if I did not live in the mountains. Check out the disc brake conversion pictures on the last link in my signature. While you may not want to to exactly what I did, the process is the same for an 8 lug axle.
