all my trucks are 35

where is the data plate
and are there ways to tell the difference

lady i talk to today said it was her grandmothers and she thinks she was 10 when it was parked there about 30 years ago

truck looked good other than the drives door was open and would not shut and the upper section of the front windshield had fell out and was laying on the passenger fender in two pieces
also there was want i think was a turn signal mounted to the back of the cab that you fliped up

I believe at least for 28 Chevy cars that was the first year for front brakes. If trucks followed the same rule than that is an easy to tell.

I have a 28 car, but I forget where the tag is, probably on the firewall, engine side.

Also, the 28 had plenty of room under the hood and a deep fan shroud, this in anticipation of the new 6 cylinder in 29. I don't think 27's have that much extra length under the hood?

Look for the data plate on the passenger side of the seat.It will be nailed on, If it's still there.
The model LM 1927 truck and early 28 Model LO truck had rear brakes only. Mid year they went to 4 wheel brakes on the LP model. The 27 and 28 trucks had the same hood. The cars as Grigg pointed out had a longer hood in 1928.
