| | | | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 493 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 493 | The mounts on my 52 truck on the front of both sides is bottom of the frame extension, 2x2 rubber, 2x2 metal, lock washer and nut. I would have guessed from looking at some of the old post that I would have found some rubber between the cab mount and frame extension. The assembly manual diagram shows just how mine were. It seems like the metal to metal would be a squeak nightmare. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 769 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 769 | The rubber washer goes on top of the frame extension, the 2x2 metal shim goes on top of the rubber. The lock washer goes under the frame extension. If you have a shop manual, on page 1-2 is a picture of the front and rear mounts and instructions on how to addjust the cab height. I just went out and looked under my 54 cab. The rubber washers are still stuck to the bottom of the cab.
