This kind of a " I know a little, but could get me trouble" question.
Having a lot of experience with a 68 C10, I now little bout the AD trucks, but love they way they look. Found one with the bed missing. Owner sez it has a 235 with 3 speed column.
The 1/2 tons are 116" wheel base right? The door vent widows are on the truck is that correct for a 52?
Was the 235 standard in 52. How do I correctly identify the engine?
He states rear fenders and tailgate are there, but bed is not.
What is the length of the 1/2 ton beds or better yet, frame length from back of cab to tailgate?
Any info will help me a lot. Been wanting one of these for a long time this might be the one.................. thumbs_up

Welcome to the Bolt!
Yes the 52 has vent windows and it also has push button door handles instead of the swing down handles of previous ADs. I don't remember off hand the wheel base someone will be along with that answer.
The 1/2 ton 52 came with a 216 not a 235.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

If it's a full pressure 235, 54 up, the valve cover will have 4 screws around the perimeter. The 216 & older 235 had 2 nuts on top the valve cover holding it down.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

It's a good thing you stopped by the bolt first. Check the Tech tips at the top of the page before you go too far. Make your first AD a good choice by researching previous topics before you buy. Identifying the engine and year is a good start but only the beginning.

Found the Tech Tips very valuable. I know it's only the beginning the rest is condition which is always a challenge.
Thanks for the comments.
PS The truck was sold before I got there, so on to the next one.

Where are you located? There are several good deals around me in Northern California.

I'm in SoCal. Going North is not a problem, for the right deal.
Do you have contacts?
