Need some historical information regarding the types of water pumps that were used on the '49 Chevy 216 engine. I have 4 H2O pumps, all are said to be for the 216 engine. Some have very different casting information. 1st one is PH-43 with a narrow pulley, 2nd is GRAPHO with wide pulley and hole in pulley for access to a lube point, 3rd and 4th are wide type with similar casting numbers 839403 GM22, and 839403 GM8. Master Parts Catalog does not show any of these numbers. 839403 parts seem to be closest match to master parts catalog but all look like they would work, except PH-43 with narrow pulley. What pump would be the most technically correct for my '49 Chevy?
