Back again,after a couple of years.

Does anyone have thoughts on the best and most accurate complete wiring harness and best source? I am getting ready to swing the 235 back into the truck and want to do a complete rewiring (engine, lights, dash, etc.) I contacted Y n Z @ www.ynzyesterdaysparts.com but have not received a reply.

Truck was originally a 235 but somewhere along its live a 350 was installed. I want to put it back to a 235 so might as well start from scratch on the electical rather than try to figure out what other jury-rigged.

they can make ya one, but any of the usual vendors will have the correct harness in stock, and likely less expensive - I've gotten good ones from Carter and Golden State reasonable

I had read a book on restoration and they were mentioned at the best,most accurate and with the best instructions. Is this something out of the base and have other vendors improved their product offerings?

yes, YnZ make harnesses to order, don't stock them ... instructions need to consist of numbering the wires and listing where they go, along with the factory schematic [which you should have in your shop manual], and I think they all will have that [see this thread ] .... I think nearly all the "original style" harnesses available are about the same and factory correct, I'd go for best price from a dependable vendor .... and on a 58 you do not want cloth wrapped [YnZ's specialty, pre-55], they were originally vinyl taped
