I saw an ad recently for a 1968 LWB GMC that had no motor, but the body is supposed to be in very good condition.
Are the body parts interchangeable between a 67 Chevy and a 68 GMC?
I think the guy was asking $1000 for the truck. I figure I can talk him down a bit. If the body IS in good condition I figure I can get at least $1500 worth of parts off it, if not more.

The light duty GMC trucks were built in the Chevrolet plants, while the medium and heavy duty trucks continued to be produced at GMC Plants. This was, in effect, the end of GMC as a separate small truck division and afterwards there were basically no differences between the two trucks except interior and exterior trim.

I know my truck has a 68 Back body on it. The right front fender is also a 68. Don't know about the doors.
Basically, all I can assume about this truck is that the cab is a 67 due to the VIN on the doorpost.
The front end is not 67 front end, nor is the steering section, which has been a major problem as something wasn't installed correctly during the switch. Greg told me he can fix that.
It's a shame the 68 GMC I am referring to is not an SWB truck, as the entire bedbox really needs to be replaced. Lots of deep dents inside the box that probably can't easily be repaired.
