The shocks were missing on my truck when I got it. I now have shocks, links, and some other rods with one end threaded and the other has a U-shaped bracket on it.. How does this work? It is hard to find a picture of the shocks anywhere..

This is a 1946 Chevy half ton.. These are the single action shocks.

Are you looking for front and rear pictures as to how they mount or how they look? I changed mine to tube shocks here but could drag originals out and take a picture if that would help. Good luck and have fun

I have 3 parts. The shock witha na arm on it, a "link" that has a rubber bushing on each end, and a part my friend sent me with a U-shaped piece connected to a rod with threads on the other end. The last part came off a truck he parted out, it was attached to the leaf spring. Do the links replace that part? I think I need to see what this looks like on a truck..

I took some pics last night. Here is the rear shock and the front . The rear mounts on the inside frame and bolts to the rear axle here . However I made a mount for tube shock changeover. A picture of the front tube mount here. I reversed the original shock mount on the axle to mount the tube shock to outside of frame in this shot. Not sure if this gives you any ideas or not. Thanks! The link on your front shock looks like what you get from the catalogs. The one on your rear shock looks like the original.. Now I know the ones in the catalog are a replacement. I was looking for some way to use them both, that just didn't work...
