I had my first snafu today on my instllation of the newer '56 235 engine in my '34 truck. The engine is in but when I put the cowl on there wasn't enough clearance to the rear of the engine. I had to cut and weld a lengthener in--sort of an extension/box affair. I feel fortunate not to have to mess with the pulleys as all clearances were good on the front of the engine. So I proceed tomarrow putting wood back into the sheetmetal--tacking here and planing there-getting the body back together.
