can any body confirm the orientation of the rear spring? It appears that the clamping bolt that holds the leaves together is not equidistant between the two eyelet mounting points.
so should the leaf clamping bolt be more forward to the frame when installed? I'm basing this on the 116" wheelbase ( seems to locate the rear axle at this dimension.
I received the springs disassembled from the frame when I received my project truck so am not sure.
Thank you for any input.

Another way of checking is if the main leaf still has the bushings installed. The smooth bore bushing will do to the front and the bushing with the threaded bore will go to the rear. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy archburycontrol, I just checked it for you 26" approx.from center of front spring mount to spring center bolt, it's approx 30" from the center of the rear shackle bolt to the spring center bolt, and we are talking about the rear spring mounts, hope that helps. | | |
