The last year is up for grabs and here are some characteristics to compare. Here are some possible generations of stovebolt engines: 1929-1936 first generation 1937-1953 second generation 1954-1962 third generation | | | | | Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 | ever one has their own idea.... but the link pretty well defines it... at least in my eyes..looking forward to seeing your ride......... been almost a yr since I seen a cameo.. click here Redryder pixMy HotrodA veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of "up to and including my life."I am fighting cancer and I am winning the fight | Pain is part of life; misery is an option. | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | How about we throw some more confusion? Back in the late '50/early '60s, the V8 Chevies were called "Bent Stovebolts". So that would make the V8 trucks elegible to be called a "Stovebolt" !
