Given the costs of weber jets and emulsion tubes would anyone be willing to share what worked on your 235 at sealevel up to 5000feet: Primary and Secondary Mains. Primary and Secondary Idle. Primary and Secondary Airs. Primary and Secondary Emulsion tubes. Lots of information on the web for foreign cars however nothing for cyl capacities approaching ours.

#76833 05/16/2007 11:41 AM | Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 1,586 Extreme Gabster | Extreme Gabster Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 1,586 | Tim,I used dual Holley Webers on a moderately tuned 261 a few years back,M4F cam,Fentons,more compression.The stock main jets were fine,went up one size in the low speed or pilot jets to eliminate an off idle stumble.This was on a heated intake.I don't remember the main jet number,and I don't know if all the old H/W's have the same jetting,so try em and see if they carburate ok,I bet the main jets will be real close as is. | | |

Single Holley/Weber 32/36 carb on a heated intake. Fenton headers. Petronics ign. Holley low pressure regulator set at 4 lbs. Main jets are; primary 147, secondary 150. Air Correction Jets;primary 160, secondary 165. Idle Jets; primary 70, secondary 65. Emulsion tubes; primary F6, secondary F50. Pump jet 50. Tail pipes are slightly gray, crisp sound to engine. You may have to go with a 145 as 147's are hard to find. Carbs unlimited in Auburn , Washington at 1-800-994-CARB have the best prices on jets, quick delivery.

I presently am using: main 145 secondary 160, main air corrector 190 secondary 190, primary idle jet 65, secondary idle jet 70. f6 emulsion tubes. I have a tendency to be generous in fuel mix as to protect from excess heat. Getting a new aluminum radiator soon and can jet down for more economy. Found low cost jets overseas, $2.50 for mains. Check ALPHA 1750's carburetors parts store. Check out fordsix.com holley/weber jetting tips. Really good starting points. | | |
