The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area The Electrical Bay Yet another signal question

This isn't 'Bolt related, but I'm hoping the collective electrical minds can help.
I have a '77 Honda XL125 motorcycle. All wiring is (apperently) hooked up correctly, but when you turn on a signal the front flashes and so does the tail light, but not the rear signals! I can't see anywhere where there have been wires crossed, or plugged in wrong. There is only 5 or so colors of wiring for the entire light circuit so folowing them along isn't that difficult. Even more frustrating is that it previously worked correctly, but since I repaired 2 damaged wires (properly) and removed 2 jumpers I can't get them to work correctly.
Any ideas?

I've replaced the rear signals with stock Honda units, but it occured to me after I put in this post that I didn't know the vintage of the signals/bulbs. Turns out the bulbs are 12v. Local Autoparts stores can't find any in Victoria, so they have to bring them in. Maybe tomorrow I will answer my own post.
2nd edit- Proper 6v bulbs in the signals didn't fix anything. Looks like I'll have to fork out $85/hour to have someone who knows what to look for fix it... I'm stymied!!!

Did you try selling the Honda and buying a Harley? Guarantee it would fix your prob!

Ahh 65... As much as I would love to ride a Harley, you will find many many more Harley's stuck on the side of the road then Hondas. Especially when they are 31 years old, as this one is.
Still haven't found the problem. Looks like I will have to trace every wire.

You're probably dealing with a grounding problem. First, check for proper voltage going to the light, and then be sure the bulb is grounding to the frame- - - -not trying to back up through another wire like a tail light or brake light circuit.
Do you have a wiring diagram for the bike?

Thanks.. I do.. The power for the blinkers comes through the brake light circuit. Because the bike's battery won't hold a charge for long, I have to have it running to do any tests involving power.. so I can only work on it certain times. I've started tracking down where the grounds are and will work from there.
