What are the best looking New style 6 lug rims and tires for a stock 52 Chevy? Opinions?

Truck will be stock and lowered 2 inches for the hot rod effect

What type of wheel do you mean by "New style" ? Many of the wheels being made in 6 lug that are moden styling will not fit the pre-'87 6 lug trucks. They're made for the current production trucks which have a far too deep backspace.

The smoothie is a nice wheel as well as the rally, both are available for the older trucks.

Hey Thanks Guys! So Far!

I looking to put a new style rim with hopefully a 6 lug on this truck. (Not looking to sub frame this truck anytime soon!)
Just stock appearance with a little new rim flair!

If your question is how do I disguise my stock truck to look like a hotrod without modifications I found the answer here:

http://www.americanracing.com/browse_ar.asp

These sizes will fit:

15” x 8” with -19 m.m. offset, 3 ¾” backspace, 6 on 5.5 bolt circle

or

15” x 7” with -6 offset, 3 ¾” backspace, 6 on 5.5 bolt circle

Styles available in those sizes are Ventura, Nitro, Baja, Outlaw, Python, Atlas, etc. Most tire dealers carry American Racing and in my case they measured my truck and guaranteed the tires and wheels I chose would not rub. I went with 15 x 8 but to do it over again I would have bought 7” rims for a bit more clearance. Here’s a pic:

Ask ten different guys and you will probably get ten different answers. What I think looks good might not appeal to someone else.I have had good luck at Summit Speed Shop for finding wheels. They can usually fix you up with a nice set of wheels with proper backspacing. I bought a set of Chrome Corvette Ralley Wheels for my 55,which required a lot of backspacing on the rear end.Guess my favorite wheel is the Cragar SS five spoke, which I have used on a couple of older cars. But then again it all boils down to personal preferance.I sold a 1956 Chevy about 4 years ago.It was a first class streetrod with the Cragar SS wheels. The guy who bought it said the first thing he would do was to get some new wheels,he did not like the Cragars. That was four years ago and the Cragars are still on it and lookin good.I originally bought Cragars for my 55 pickup, but after I got them home and into the shop,I thought how nice they would look on the 56,so thats where they wound up.
