Have had some recent strange happenings with my TH350. If the truck sits for more than 4 days, upon starting, tranny fluid is blown out the dipstick tube. If the truck is started every day or even every other day, no problem. That has me confused.

Now to add misery, just recently, after driving several miles, I have tranny fluid being pumped out the dipstick tube intermittently while cruising down the highway.

Not certain at all what my problem is. Should have used that 4-speed instead, me thinks.

Does anybody have any ideas or suggestions??

There is a vent tube just up on top of the main part of the tranny. It may be plugged or pinched.
Could also be internal seal problems too.CHeck the easy first.

The vent tube seems to be fine. Not pinched or bent and appears to be open.

I was wondering if the modulator has anything to do with this problem.

yes if the diaphragm is gone in the modulator valve, you will suck transmission fluid straight into the intake usually ending up in one of the back two cylinders....red tinge when you remove the heads. I once rebuilt an engine thinking I had blown a ring.
