I just got a new fuel gauge sending unit and it seems to be for a different year truck. I think my tank is perhaps not the correct one for '59. The issue is that the mounting flange on the new unit is at 90 deg. to the long portion of the pick-up tube (points staight down). The mounting hole on my tank is at an angle on the front of the tank at the top with the fuel line exiting pointing towards the pass. side. Does anyone know what year(s) truck had the sender at an angle instead of flat on the top of the tank, or another way to I.D. the year my tank is from?
