Several months ago I stumbled across a thread about this swap but no luck in finding it again. headscratch Both have springs outside the frame but beyond that does anyone know if this is a bolt in swap?

It is not a bolt in, but is very doable because both have open drive shaft rear. I suppose you do realize that you will have 8 lugs in front and 6 in the rear. Spring seats will have to be changed which requires some welding.

The 1/2 ton TF rear spring pad spacing is very close to the 3/4 ton AD and will bolt in with no mods.
I considered this swap on my '52 3600. However the pad inclination on the TF rear may not give you the exact pinion angle you want for the AD. Make sure you check it. You could shim it if you don't want to mess with relocating the pads.

Thanks for the replies. This is a driver but it needs brake and suspension work. I'm thinking a 1/2 ton front axle with the TF rear. Fairly simple swap that will give me better wheel choices, less expensive brake parts and 390 gears.
