I have a '65 C10, and I want to change the rearend ratio for easier highway use.
I think I have 3.73's now. (283/three speed stock).
I found a '67-'7? rearend from a truck that got blasted in the front.
Question 1:
What was the ratio for a garden variety small block/automatic truck?
Question 2:
Will it fit with no or only minor problems in my '65?
Question 3:
Is it worth it, of should I just get some new gears?

I'm thinking most trucks were either 3.73 or 4.10 during this era.

My '72 (bought new by my father) had a 350, three speed manual and a 3:08 rear end. Great interstate cruiser and good gas mileage - the 350 had gobs of torque. A little hard on the clutch when starting with a trailer behind, though.
