| | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 40 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 40 | Ok guys and gals adjusting the valves on the old girl and found two bent push rods, one intake and one exhaust.(not the same cylinder) anyone have a part number or a couple of good used ones to sell? my local car quest only shows two, one 10.812 long ane 11 and something. the ones I have are 10 1/2" long and I'm afraid 10 13/16" wont work. Thanks in advance!!!!

The pushrod length depends on which lifters you have in the engine.

If they bent in the engine, I would sure be concerned about stuck valves. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 40 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 40 | Dont know how they got bent????? engine been running fine, removed valve cover to fix oil leak decided to go ahead and reface rocker arm tips and set valves. fired up before installing valve cover and noticed them. my guess they were bent and reinstalled when engine was rebuilt.

One is "all except powerglide" the other is with powerglide. They don't list lengths. You might give them a call for details. The pushrods I got from my FLAPS measure 10 7/16" & work great with the 40 & up solid lifters.

one more ouestion though, what are you guys setting the valves at??? I have one book that says .006 intake and .013 exaust, but I have another book that says .016 on the exaust (I think)recomendations anyone????
