I have a 1946 Chevy ½ ton with a factory 216 motor. In paint and repair, what are the correct factory colors for all of the accessories? Such as the fan, water pump, generator, pulleys, air cleaner, oil filter etc? Is there a site where all of these are listed?
Also, I have read that painting the radiator is not a good idea, as it will not dissipate the heat efficiently? If no paint, what do the radiator shops use? What about all of the shrouds that surround the engine? Are these flat black, or glossy? Including the lower engine pans?

Semi gloss black for all accesories. For the engine assembly use "The Filling Station" engine gray for the 216. Water pump was not an accesory it was part of the engine and would have been same gray.
