The Stovebolt Site Forums The Parking Lot Big Bolts Old time front shocks

I have the 46 coe bus.. Off the frame is whats said to be shocks on each side of the front of the frame... I have picks but have no idea how to put them here.. There is no place on the straight axle that looks like it would tie into.. HOW do those old shocks hook up?? They look like huge wheel cylinders on the side of the frame... If anyone has a web site they know of,,, or would like to see what I am talkin about, email me for picks.. I personally would like to see a picture to know what I'm dealin with..

They sound like lever action shocks. You are probably missing the linkage that attaches to the axle.

Thank you,,, THANK YOU'S... Yes, I'm missen the plate off the straight axel on each side.. It IS differant then what I was thinking how it went.. I'd still like to see how it gets from the frame to the straight axel.. The bus will NOT be brought back to original,, but I'd sure like to get it as close as possible.. Man,, I have missed SO much by not joining this site years ago... SHAME on me... Strangers helpin strangers,, I LOVE it..
