For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 438 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 438 | I am beginning to work on the clamshell on my 49 suburban. Does anyone know of a vendor that will have the cables for the bottom door and also the metal slides that will hold the top clamshell open? If not has anyone rigged current OEM style lifts and would know what length etc to use?
The hinges of the clamshell has some shoddy fabrication done by the PO so if someone can take a picture of what they are supposed to look like I would be grateful. Thanks for any help.
