I just recently purchase a 1958 Chevy Napco 4x4 that I am in the process of restoring. It has rally wheels on it, but I am looking to move more towards an original look/feel, like is on the Suburban on the Brother's trucks recent catalog:

The truck is apart at the moment, but here is one before pic:

Most of the places I've seen with any wheels for sale they are chrome, not ready for paint. Does anyone have any idea what size those wheels are? Where to find them ready for paint, not chromed? And what size/brand those tires are?

I dare say you maybe have had a look at this. http://www.wheelvintiques.com/ I see they do a range of bare wheels for paint or powder coat. Maybe someone will chime in with original sizes etc. I hope this helps a bit thumbs_up

That's PeeWee's truck (admin on the Napco site where you posted).

I don't know of any company that currently makes a wheel that I would consider close [...enough for my taste]. The correct wheels for the truck will be 16" or 17.5" with three hubcap clips. The 17.5" wheels are pretty difficult to locate. Fifteen inch wheels of that vintage should be the easiest to find. And a -good- wheel shop can fit 16" rims to a center from a 15" wheel.

I've had success browsing the local tire shops. My best finds are from those shops that have been around for a few decades.

I also keep an eye out for any 60s or older derelict truck; they often have mismatched wheels from different years.

Happy hunting!
