They have a "specifications" section that gives dimensions of engine parts such as pistons, valves, etc. I was able to match up some valves for an older Oliver tractor that way, but we had to change the valve guide size. I'll check into possible interchanges when I get to work Monday.

#42881 03/30/2004 4:41 AM | Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 206 Member | | Member Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 206 | Most performance rebuilds on 302 heads include installation of Chevy V8 intake and exhast valves. 1.94 intake and 1.5 or 1.6 exhausts. This is only a modest increase over stock - You will need hardened seats in the exhaust anyway, and the Chevy seats are readily available. Any additional cost for reaming guides or cutting new spring seats should be offset by the dirt-cheap cost of the valves. '37 GMC T-18 w/ DD 4-53T, RTO-610, 6231 aux., '95 GMC running gear, full disc brakes, power steering, 22.5 wheels and tires.
'47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.

They are NOT hard as if brittle they would snap in two. A motorcycle shop used to bring us 390 Ford valves that fit some old Harley and we would shorten them---a lot, and cut new keeper groves. On race engines we got long stem valves and cut them so the rocker roller was on the exact center of the valve stem at half lift. Using off the shelf stuff sometimes had the roller running off the end of the stem and onto the retainer.
