I hate to drill into my passenger door to mount a mirror but I am getting a bit tired of playing owl as I try to scan for everly little foreign car that wants to ride in the blind zone. I have seen many mirrors in the catalogs, but never see them on the trucks. Thanks!
| | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,377 Ex Hall Monitor | | Ex Hall Monitor Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,377 | The clamp on type mirrors are better than nothing but tend to shake a bit at highway speeds, blurring the image somewhat. Also, the clamp can damage the paint if not done carefully.

| | | | | Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 213 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 213 | I put one on my 60 C10 passenger side door and had to use a stick on round convex mirror over the mirror to see the side of my truck. I just couldn't get it adjusted to see the side of the truck. It works fine and is definately better than no mirror. I didn't want to drill holes in my door either, and as mentioned in the prvious post they can scratch the paint when installing.
