wouldthey be vacuum or electric wipers and where are controls supposed to be in the cab ? knob or switch ?

The operating knob/lever is on the top of the dash. There are many different things that could cause them to not work, worn out motor, bad vacuum line, control rod off of knob (my initial problem), and a host of others. Good luck.
