I sure learned alot and I'm probably going to learn alot more before it hits the road. If you haven't checked the tech tips or done a search, please do so. My first thought is that the perfered 71-81 Camaro clip will be to wide for your project. Like I always say its the tale of the tape measure. I would think the S-10 would be a better doner vehicle, and there is a ton of information on this site about it. I don't know a clip that is that narrow you could use other than an import of some vintage. Someone else here might be able to add a bit of wisdom on this subject.

Don't know how common these are in the States, but as we have learnt here in Oz, they bolt straight in and cost next to nothing.
Others we are using are from Mitsubishi 2wd utility's.
Double wishbone, disc brake etc. and the right width.
In fact most Jap import stuff seems near on the right size to fit earlier trucks.....cause being jap they are naturally smaller than the US stuff.

I do know that a Camero front end will not go under a 39 car. I have a friend who put one under his 39 car and it was too wide. He pulled it and cut a few inches out of the middle of it. It went back under fine, but it messed up the geometry of the front end and he has a limited turning radius. Bummer! Joe

Yep the front end pictured in my web photo's is from Australia, hence the Right hand drive.
Many Jaguars were exported throughout America and Europe as Left hand drives, this is why I mentioned this front end to SOONER in the first place.
You never know if someone might just have one laying around!
