#42541 10/10/2004 11:18 PM | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 105 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2004 Posts: 105 | Just replaced the seal and carrier bearing in the enclosed portion of the driveline on my 1950 3/4 ton. It was doing find, no leaks until today. I noticed a drop coming off the carrier bracket. When I felt it, it was all full of think black fluid. By the way, I changed the transmission fluid with Redline Synthetic. I would assume the black is the new seal I installed but have no idea why it is leaking or apparently chewing up the seal.
Any ideas from anyone? | | |

It has much better detergent properties than dino oil and tends to clean out the crud that was keeping them from leaking. It also tends to flow a bit better than dino of the same weight so if it finds a leak it will leak out faster.
