You should also find all your leaks when bleeding the brakes. Start with the passenger side rear wheel. The wheel nearest the master cylinder, bleed last. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 206 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 206 | Shouldn't need the motor running, just bleed em like normal after the bench bleeding. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,101 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,101 | He is generally correct about the master but what will probably happen is that the proportioning valve will shut off one end - usually the rears as it senses a failure in the system. That will usually happen if the cylinders and lines are dry. I have used an oil squirt can to fill the lines & cylinders and/or gravity bled the system. Sometimes you get lucky other times they will drive you crazy. It is usually not necessary to run the engine to bleed the brakes. Fred
