I have been working on my manual brakes on this '34 chevy 1/2 ton pickup and have the rear axles and drums which are attached out and when I try to reinstall something comes up hard and the axle will not go the extra inch to be in all the way. Might I have to take the roller bearings out and put them on the axle to reinstall? Or any ideas would be wellcome---thanks

Okay--I had to take out the mechanical brake actuator. Just gave me extra cleanrance. Plus i got to see the rest of the brakes system to boot! Anyway it went in fine.
