On the distributor side, casting number should be just aft of center. Large, raised numbers. Look it up at www.inliners.org . Aft of that will be the date code. should be a letter followed by two or three digits. Letter is the month, A=Jan & on. Then is the day of the month, one or two digits, followed by the last digit of the year. So G128 would be July 12 of 68 or 78. C 35 would be March 3 of 65,75 or 85. Usually the casting number will narrow it down to figure out which year the casting was made.
