If the 4 speed is original, it is either an SM420 (7.06 or so first gear) or the later SM465 (6.55 first gear). The 292 never came with a close-ratio (non-granny) 4 speed. | | |

Maybe somebody changed yours over in this way,? then you would have the overdrive 4 speed. | | |
