Today I bought what I think is a 1956 GMC truck. I can't find any info on the VIN #.The # is 69543606332, Model 9543 eng # T185375 body # 299. Can anyone HELP ? It's a GMC in Canada. Thanks

vin = 6[1956] 9[GMC, not Chev] 5[series, 1.5T?] 4 [W.B. 161"?] 3[model, cab&chassis] 6[cylinders] 06332[sequence#] ... so it's a farm truck with a flat deck?

Thanks very much RED58, did the GMC use a 270 c.i. engine or do they also use a 235?

the CDN light GMCs used Chev engines, I believe it would have been the 235 in '56, but don't hold it to me smile
