My brothers 50 Chev 1/2 ton needs an new motor. His 216 has bit the big one. I found a complete 216 engine and transmission out of a 49 Chev car. It has a split manifold. Would this engine fit into the 50 Chev truck? Thanks.

They should be virtually the exact same. The only issue you might have is bell-housings. However, as long as you use the bell-housing and transmission from the truck, you should be okay.
